2002, sound installation. 280 loudspeakers, copper wire, 20 channel sound composition,
12 x 8 x 12 m.
HfG/ZKM Karlsruhe, Lichthof

280 loudspeakers hang at ear level in grid form from the ceiling on almost invisible enameled copper wires. The wires and loudspeakers form a floating cube shape. The cube is assigned 20 sound surfaces, which constitute a horizontal plane in the room. Each surface has its own individual synthetic condensed sound that varies slightly from group to group. Visitors perceive the slow shifts of the sound network as they stroll around.
