We live in a world that permanently presents itself to us in an acoustic form.
Complete absence of sonic phenomena and stimuli is nowhere to be found, as material itself always present. Yet there is a particular silence that we all know. By active listening, we enter into direct contact with our personal inner world. In the work The last power is silence, the sound umbrella stands as a symbol for the in-between space in which situations interact. White noise, the sum of all frequencies of the audible range, resounds from the screen. An insistent surface sound confronts the listener in its formless, vague, and colourless form.
